Dedication of school staff to be celebrated

Three regional education awards will shine the spotlight on the teachers and support staff making a real difference in schools across the south east.

Streetspace will play a leading role in the London Teacher of the Year Awards, its sister event in Sussex, as well as Kent Teacher of the Year, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.

Nominations can be submitted by parents, pupils, school staff or academy senior leadership teams and can be linked to an individual member of staff or a team of colleagues.

Simon Dolby, Communications Manager at Streetspace, said: “School staff play an absolutely vital role in the development of young people and it is only right that the hard work and dedication delivered in schools on a daily basis is showcased through these annual awards.”

Mr Dolby will join the judging panel of the three awards events and has been appointed as Chairman of the Kent Teacher of the Year event by the charity that stages the events – Inspire Schools.

“It is an honour to represent Streetspace on the judging panels for London, Kent and Sussex. Our work in the education sector brings us into regular contact with a wide range of schools from both the state and independent sectors which will enable us to help champion these important awards across almost 4,000 schools and academies,” he said.
