Case Study Highlights

ProjectBurlington Danes Academy
ScopeZONE Glazed Building

Eager to attract and retain Sixth Form students, Burlington Danes Academy in White City, West London were looking for new social and break-out space to complement their offer. Having considered portable and modular building options and finding these disappointing, the Academy Leadership Team were looking for a solution that would be inspirational and unconventional. They liked the idea of a glazed enclosed structure in an unused space between their buildings, but didn’t think their Sixth Formers would appreciate a social area that resembled a display case!

The Streetspace structural glazing solution was to use a vertical coloured multiwall polycarbonate system and the result is extremely effective. A unique inspiring and relaxing environment suitable for use all year round is an asset the Academy have added to the attractive facilities now available to the Sixth Form, including a fitness suite, café and astroturf pitch.
