ScopeTRITON Enclosed Steel Frame Canopy

Situated close to Maidstone’s Mote Park, a 440-acre municipal park and former country estate, Greenfields Community Primary School strives for ‘excellence by everybody in everything’ as part of 5 core values; ‘Wellbeing, Aspiration, Teamwork, Resilience, and Uniqueness.’

Streetspace worked alongside the team at Greenfields Community Primary School to establish an effective covered space structure that could provide enclosed dining and social space, transforming a previously underutilised area in the playground and extending their main school hall.

At design stage, dynamic thermal analysis modelling considered the specific site conditions and the orientation of the structure to ensure year round usage could be achieved. Ideal for structures positioned alongside buildings, a TRITON asymmetrical steel frame canopy was designed with glass windbreak panels to create a fully enclosed space

Combined with a set of glazed aluminium double doors, this gives the space a contemporary feel, with the polycarbonate curved roof profile of the structure and modular design theme providing consistency of design.
